Ringing in the New Year!

As we ring in the new year, it's time to make new resolutions. I'm feeling a bit contemplative about  all the outfits that I wore this past year. Let's face it, a lot of us looked the same in all the 2012 style trends.

So it's time to break some old trends and say good-bye!  But there are a few looks that need to stay.

Peplums are my fav trend.  Peplums are amazing - they give you a great figure, make you look thinner (if you are bigger) and make you look as if you have hips (if you lack hips).
Peplum, please stay around a little longer.  I'd like to wear my peplum blouse at least once more.

Printed pants can be fun and cute . . .  I hope those stick around as well. Oh, and I like the dark lipstick too.
Vampire lips It all depends on who's wearing it, with what and where.  Dark lipstick can really work or look terrible, it all depending. Wear in moderation.

Haha! My rich twin is mocking me.  I was cursed with expensive taste and a low budget.

Here's wishing you a great new start for the Fashion Predictions of 2013.  Let us not focus on creating a “New you.”  Let's celebrate the best of you as an individual, not the best sheep.  It's your Style, it's you.

Happy New Year and Rock On........!

Kiss the Hiss

Hiss, my favorite graphic tee.  This shirt makes me laugh, it's so goofy.  Just couldn't resist buying this one.

From they create wacky out of this world characters.
I'm wearing it with my schoolgirl skirt from American Apparel and thigh-high socks. These socks are great for Los Angeles weather.  It can be very confusing, sometimes it's hot and then later on during the day it get's really cold.  So thigh-high socks are great for weather transitioning. Plus they are comfortable, sexy and slimming.

Style Fashion Week LA 2013 Spring /Summer

I had the pleasure of attending Style Fashion Week L.A. which kicked off a five-day run at the former St. Vibiana's Cathedral in Downtown Los Angeles.  Check out the great designer collections that I witnessed!

JHaus Premium Denim Collection.
American-made Denim Collection inspired by strong American roots. JHaus offers 6 jean styles in a variety of washes.

Kait Blu, by Kaitlyn Fitzgerald she's 17 years old. Amazing and inspiring for me, I think this line was my favorite. I love her youthful free spirit boho aesthetics.

Patuna by Patuna Bushyhead
Her draping and fabrics were beautiful and delicate like a celestical Goddess.
Check out the Runway show.

Quynh Nhu

Designer Nguyuen

This line is playful and experimental.  I loved the embellishments.

Ash Haute Couture she combines Western style with Eastern influences.

Watching this line walking down the runway was..... My emotions cannot be explained because gahhhhh…fashion gives me a really good feeling of excitement! Love the styling and pallet combination! The Collection looked really polished and futuristic.

Alexis Monsanto Spring/ Summer Collection "Jewels of God"
Inspired by the Iconic Grace Kelly.

When I saw this line it reminded me more of Florence Welch from Florence+ The Machine than Grace Kelly. Lets take a look.

Love the brights to neutrals transition.

The back is so sexy.

This gown was the most intricate of all. She had a white cape draped over her shoulders and a gold studded bustier. Above all, her shoes were the ultimate accessory - white and studded from ankle to toe.
Star studded extravaganza!
