My Fav NYFW 2014 SPRING Ready to wear collection Part 2.

                                    Ralph Lauren SPRING 2014 READY-TO-WEAR

I was delighted to watch this collection since my favorite fashion era is the 60's.
Ralph Lauren gave us his take on the sixties with this Spring Collection which brought a lot of white & black contrast and knee high socks.

He also did  halfway transition to bright colors like lime green, acid yellow and neon orange.

                                   Rachel Zoe SPRING 2014 READY-TO-WEAR

The collection had a lot of safari looks with one or two abstracted giraffe-print pieces.
We also saw Bomber jackets and cargo pants.

                            Betsey Johnson SPRING 2014 READY-TO-WEAR

Her shows are always so fun to watch, always youthful and colorful. I recommend streaming her runway shows for those who haven't seen one. The collection brought a lot of eighties inspired designs.  Loved the cotton candy colored wigs and silver lipstick.

                                   Michael Kors SPRING 2014 READY-TO-WEAR

This collection was 40's office inspired the collection brought khaki skirts, brown pleated dresses with python detailing.  A lot of tailored outfits.

Additional Spring looks were pinup-girl bikinis and summer leaf print dresses.

                                      Marchesa SPRING 2014 READY-TO-WEAR

AHH so romantic! Lots of romantic lace with lingerie inspired silhouettes.

Robert Rodriguez Spring 2014 READY-TO-WEAR

I'm simply inspired by this collection.  It had a lot of minimal, super clean cuts that I found truly enchanting. The looks were cool, luxirous and commercial which in my opinion is not easy to  achieved when creating a line. It's really Good! :) Haha he's an LA Designer.

My Fav NYFW 2014 SPRING Ready to wear collection Part 1

Kate Spade New York Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

She's one of my favorite designers, the collection had an early-sixties feel to it.

My favorite look from this collection is the navy blue skater dress with a halter neckline—a thick white zipper up the front and the carrie racing flag-inspired checkerboard box clutch.

Oscar De La Renta Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Just lovely, all around.
Vivid silk faille party dresses, embroidered with crystals, and a multicolor botanical printed on top of a polka dot.  As cheery as can be.

Nicole Miller Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

The looks were artfully arranged, resembling shards of broken glass.  There was large                                                       amounts of colors and embellishments.

Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

The collection was very slick.  Loved the cutouts and skintight-ness.  :)

Sally LaPointe Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Multiple materials and layers were at play.  I liked the long jersey tuxedo dress layered over the neck collar.

Christian Siriano Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection
B
Siriano went with a garden party theme.

Prabal Gurung Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

For Spring, his muse was Marilyn Monroe and I especially enjoyed the new eccentric take on the classic cat eye glasses.

1950's inspired fitted dresses, pants and pencil skirts.

Alexandre Herchcovitch Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

The designer had a variety of silhouettes, mini dresses and slim cropped trousers with sheer overskirts.  Loved the zebra stripes and black lace.

                                             Lacoste Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

This collection was sexy with tennis aesthetics.  Loved the stripes of solid and sheer.

Mara Hoffman Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

"There's a Rainbow Warrior moment happening here," she said backstage before her spirited Spring show.  So many graphic serpent patterns. Lots of maxi dresses and sheer embellished colored arcs.  Other standouts in the lineup included tie-dyed jumpsuits, intarsia-knit ponchos and a pair of short shorts cut from artisanal Guatemalan belts—the same ones wrapped around the models.

                                                L.A.M.B. Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Cool biker jackets and cargo track pants toughened up with hardware accents.

Jill Stuart Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Lots of ready to wear pieces.  They were very cool, I liked them all.

Ralph Rucci Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Lots of couture looks but a bit more casual.  The materials used were python, gazer and organza.  Only the finest couture materials were used in this collection.

                                        Kaelen Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

All the looks were slim, color-blocked with high collars and strong shoulders.

Stay tuned, part 2 of NYFW coming soon.

I'm with you.

When you have to make a choice and don't make it, that is in itself a choice.  ~William James

"Everybody has that point in their life where you hit a crossroads and you've had a bunch of bad days and there's different ways you can deal with it and the way I dealt with it was I just turned completely to music."
Taylor Swift

"Oh why is everything so confusing???
Maybe I'm just out of my mind...."

I'm 30 years old and I still can relate to this song.
I can't believe it came out in the year 2002, 10 years ago. Enjoy!

"Sinful Fashion Obsessions"

What have I been wearing lately?
I know I should be talking about spring wear but I'm still obsessed with my military look.
Militaristic Bomber jackets, in varying shades of olive green and some Doc Martens
boots or utilitarian boots, this style is here to stay. This look is more sporty & androgynous.

Plus a short haircut and aviators shades complements my whole look.

The military jacket is an absolute staple in my closet, I like to mix it with dresses or mini skirts. My military jacket just makes my look stronger and adds power to it.

Forever skulls! I've always been nuts about them.  But this shirt is Raddest of them all! It reminds me of all my Sinful Fashions.

My Gluttony and Greediness:  I'm so guilty, I have so much clothing that I just never wear. It's never enough, I must have five identical black skirts just because they are all so cute. I'm in denial, I've grown out of my clothes but I refuse to admit it and I keep it all instead of donating it to Goodwill or The Salvation Army.

Pride and Envy: Oh my! Like most girls sometimes we get caught up in the beauty contest, we become obsessed with our image, it's really unhealthy.  The race for vanity and perfection.  I know  I've had problems like this, being a girl and all.  We get caught up in the contest and we wear revealing clothing or try to emulate someone else's look.

My wrath: Jeans, I love and hate them! They just don't suit me.

Lust: Designer labels! If money grew on trees... Chanel

Sloth: Oh my laziness. Chipped nail polish and messy hair - that's the reason I like short hair styles.

What's your most sinful fashion obsession?
