My Fav NYFW 2014 SPRING Ready to wear collection Part 1

Kate Spade New York Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

She's one of my favorite designers, the collection had an early-sixties feel to it.

My favorite look from this collection is the navy blue skater dress with a halter neckline—a thick white zipper up the front and the carrie racing flag-inspired checkerboard box clutch.

Oscar De La Renta Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Just lovely, all around.
Vivid silk faille party dresses, embroidered with crystals, and a multicolor botanical printed on top of a polka dot.  As cheery as can be.

Nicole Miller Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

The looks were artfully arranged, resembling shards of broken glass.  There was large                                                       amounts of colors and embellishments.

Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

The collection was very slick.  Loved the cutouts and skintight-ness.  :)

Sally LaPointe Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Multiple materials and layers were at play.  I liked the long jersey tuxedo dress layered over the neck collar.

Christian Siriano Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection
B
Siriano went with a garden party theme.

Prabal Gurung Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

For Spring, his muse was Marilyn Monroe and I especially enjoyed the new eccentric take on the classic cat eye glasses.

1950's inspired fitted dresses, pants and pencil skirts.

Alexandre Herchcovitch Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

The designer had a variety of silhouettes, mini dresses and slim cropped trousers with sheer overskirts.  Loved the zebra stripes and black lace.

                                             Lacoste Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

This collection was sexy with tennis aesthetics.  Loved the stripes of solid and sheer.

Mara Hoffman Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

"There's a Rainbow Warrior moment happening here," she said backstage before her spirited Spring show.  So many graphic serpent patterns. Lots of maxi dresses and sheer embellished colored arcs.  Other standouts in the lineup included tie-dyed jumpsuits, intarsia-knit ponchos and a pair of short shorts cut from artisanal Guatemalan belts—the same ones wrapped around the models.

                                                L.A.M.B. Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Cool biker jackets and cargo track pants toughened up with hardware accents.

Jill Stuart Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Lots of ready to wear pieces.  They were very cool, I liked them all.

Ralph Rucci Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Lots of couture looks but a bit more casual.  The materials used were python, gazer and organza.  Only the finest couture materials were used in this collection.

                                        Kaelen Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

All the looks were slim, color-blocked with high collars and strong shoulders.

Stay tuned, part 2 of NYFW coming soon.
