Pasadena Runway Show.

Pasadena Runway Show November 24th 2013: Beauty Art Fashion (The Launch Party) debuted its first catwalk presented by Parris Harris.  Wella Professionals produced the event, which also featured a professional styling team from Brenton Lee Salon. Time to sell the garments!

It was an evening of beauty and glamour.  Crowds gathered at the outdoor courtyard at Brenton Lee Salon, in Pasadena, to take in the event.

Here’s a look at some of the stylish people who showed up at the event.

There were so many designers with varying fashion aesthetics and countless hairstyles.  The styling team revealed the top hair trends on the runway with hair styling presentations.  The Host of the evening was the talented Brenton Lee who opened up the show doing a variety of hair styling looks.

These looks were all about texture and gravity defying structures.

There was literally a beautiful bob out there for every face-shape with a mix of multi-tonal highlights.

Check out this parade of fantastic bob hairstyles.

Braided and roped buns were especially dominant with jaw-dropping styles for the Haute Couture Collections.

Most of the designers were showcasing jewelry designs by Carol Lynn Sweets Jewelry.
They have endless combinations of unique pieces. These beauties are all handcrafted and they also do custom-made pieces.  Some of the proceeds from the featured jewelry went to various charities. The purpose of this organization is to educate, prevent and find a cure for AIDS.

Check out their featured jewelry.

It was a long collective collaboration of various L.A. based designers debuting their collections.

Check out some of the collections.

Courtney Allegra, she’s a beautiful 16 year-old Designer and Entrepreneur that aims to bring fun and boldness.  We saw simplistic sexy silhouettes that tie in with the slew of geometric shapes and colorful bold prints that popped magnetic fun on the runway.

Brit Boy Fashions a London/ USA based label.

Designer Brian Terry

Bringing us sexy edgy, quirky fashion on the runway.  They remind me of pop killer but with  London aesthetics.  We are also excited about their latest fashion line for men, called F.R.E.D.

A line of tees exploring the punk subculture with a line of rogue punk graphics.

VP Styles by Victor's Promise, we saw sexy provocative men's apparel.

Check out their tees.

The premier source for quality men's apparel, underwear, sleepwear, swimwear and upscale loungewear.

Sneak Peek an enthusiastic youthful label worth keeping in mind.  Giving us an alternative rival of the unisex androgynous silhouettes.  It's a new line that's just starting and is more about edgy punk casual looks.  Mixing different styles to create unique ones.

The stand out pieces included a pair of men's trousers modified to a halter short jumpsuit.

Mans collar plaid shirt modified to a dress to fit the female form.

A pair of Unisex draped sweats and white studded sweater.

T&R Clothing is a new label which featured a collection of couture evening dresses, which leaned heavely on the slim fit.  The gowns had pops of highlights on the necklines made of fur and feathers.

Check out some of the gowns.

Sumie Tashibana, one of the highlights of the night, displayed conceptualized gowns on the runway.  The collection brought a lot Asian patterned constructed designs.  The inspiration for every dress is a mixture of Samurai armor and Victorian modern gothic aesthetics, with a balance of soft and firm fabrics.

Check out some of the thoughtful experimental gowns.

Love her unique line of accessories check out the amazing pieces.

Martini Styles I wanted to show a ready to wear collection that reflected modern Rock Roll cuts.
Black became the theme thru the designing process of the collection.  The looks: Refined silhouettes that are deceptively simple, yet sophisticated.

Galeano Designs had a classic feel to her collection.  The soft satin clashed with organza fabrics, they were dreamy in an artistic fashionable way.

The gowns were summer fresh, in a romantic sense.

Had a classy touch of soft fabrics.

There were gowns and evening dresses galore, many of which truly captured the meaning of beauty & art.  It was an illustrious runway.

Thanks to Brenton Lee and Parris Harris for bringing us the Pasadena Runway Show.

The New 60's

I'm doing a Modern take on 60's Mod.  My inspiration is from the playful side of the 60's in bold geometrics shapes and bright colors with a-line skirts.

The look is sexy, colorful and youthful. I also wanted to play with more elegant garments that display a sci-fi chic aesthetic merged with a futuristic look.

The1960's Mod fashion was in the spotlight, as a fashion trend, in Spring 2013 for modern women by designers like Michael Kors, Moschino and Louis Vuiton. I hope this MOD revival continues and I plan to make the most of it.

Check out  the Mod Force s/s 2013 for more Mod 60's fashion looks from featured designers.

My favorite look

If you would like to incorporate this style into your own, please check out the article below.  It gives you an insight by detailing the elements you should look for.

DTLA Collision of Art and Fashion.

Los Angeles, I love this place and DTLA is my favorite part of city.  DTLA is the heart of the Fashion Industry, this is where all the wholesalers, retailers and manufactures sell their goods to the open public and merchandisers.  I've worked in the Fashion Industry for over a decade holding various positions such as Production Assistant, Sales and Showroom Coordinator.

Over the years many artists have moved from the suburbs to the historic buildings that have been converted to lofts and condominiums.  As a result, a lot street art is flourishing all over the city, which I welcome.  Check out the DTLA Art Walk.
